Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

H2o2U Hub (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, and your rights. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible for your information?

H2o2U Hub is a water purification and refill business at 111 Circular Drive, Overbaakens, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), South Africa. We are the “responsible party” for your personal information. Our Information Officer can be reached at h2o2u.pure@gmail.com.

2. What information do we collect?

We only collect what we need to serve you:

  • Contact details you give us: your name, phone number, email address and delivery address when you message us on WhatsApp, email us, call us or message us on Facebook.
  • Order details: what you order, quantities, delivery instructions and any quotes or invoices.
  • Website data: this website does not use advertising cookies. Only if you choose “Accept all”, we may use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the site (such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location). Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

3. How do we use your information?

  • To answer your questions and send quotes.
  • To process, deliver and invoice your orders.
  • To let you know about changes to your order, our hours or our services.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • To keep this website secure and working properly.

We rely on your consent, the need to carry out an agreement with you, our legal obligations and our legitimate interest in running our business. We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Do we use cookies?

We use your browser’s local storage to remember your cookie choice. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, also sets a short-lived security cookie (“__cf_bm”) to protect the site from bots. Both are strictly necessary and do not track you.

If you choose “Accept all”, we show an embedded Google Map and may use Google Analytics, which let Google set its own cookies and collect data under the Google Privacy Policy. If you choose “Essential only”, neither is loaded. Our fonts are hosted on our own site, so no third party receives your details when the page loads.

When you click a WhatsApp, Facebook or Google Maps link, you leave our site and that service’s own privacy policy applies. You can change your cookie choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.

5. Who do we share your information with?

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it when we need to, for example with delivery drivers to deliver your order, with our accountant or bookkeeper, with service providers that help us run our business (such as WhatsApp, email and website hosting), or when the law requires it. Some of these providers may store data outside South Africa; where they do, we make sure it is protected to a standard similar to POPIA.

6. How long do we keep your information?

We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires (for example, financial records are generally kept for five years). After that, we delete or anonymise it.

7. How do we keep your information safe?

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. If we become aware of a breach that affects you, we will let you and the Information Regulator know as POPIA requires.

8. What are your rights?

You have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • ask us to correct or delete your information;
  • object to us processing your information, including for direct marketing;
  • withdraw your consent at any time; and
  • lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

To use any of these rights, email h2o2u.pure@gmail.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
